The Diversity of Love Journal: Knowledge from Research and Practice is an online publication platform to share research-based and practice-based knowledge about love and relationships with a wide audience of scholars around the world. The journal publishes the articles reflecting the wisdom, scholarly writings, research findings, and experiences of practitioners. The authors of articles are researchers and practitioners from all over the world who want to share their research findings with others.

The International Institute of Love Studies, incorporated in the State of Michigan, is the publisher of the journal. It is an educational and scientific organization located in Michigan, USA, that serves a global community of scholars interested in the studies of love and relationships. The Institute showcases the most recent research- and practice-based knowledge on love and relationships from around the world.

Victor Karandashev is the journal’s founder, serving as manager and editor since 2022. He also contributes as one of the authors. He is a researcher of love and relationships with extensive international and cross-cultural experience and interests. He has conducted research on international and cross-cultural psychology in several European countries, the U.K., and the U.S.A. His primary research interests are the studies of love, relationships, and cultures.

He has published many articles, chapters, and monographs on these topics. His recent books, Romantic Love in Cultural Contexts (2017)Cross-Cultural Perspectives on the Experience and Expression of Love (2019)Cultural Models of Emotions (2021), Cultural Typologies of Love (2022), and The Varieties of Love as Interpersonal Attraction (2024) are among the most distinguished interdisciplinary contributions to the field.

Victor Karandashev, as the initiator and manager of the journal, is an author who publishes many articles. He also encourages other colleagues to publish their articles in this journal. The journal is a collective effort to compile a valuable collection of international knowledge about the diversity of love that is publicly available worldwide.
