(Eds) (2006) Multiple Social categorisation: processes, models and applications (pp. 211- 238). New York: Psychology Press.
In this chapter, the authors examine the nature and meaning of multiple social categorizations in the United States in terms of the three “large-scale social cleavages” of race, ethnicity, and culture. They look at group-based identities and how people form their own identities in relation to these three broad aspects of society.
