The authors consider love and relationships as sociocultural constructs that have undergone significant changes in terms of relationship type, type of love, and couple happiness in recent years. They place high value on the research of the love lives among Europe’s immigrant population.

This research looks at the variations and similarities in love styles between Spaniards and Moroccan immigrants, who make up the country’s largest foreign population. The authors also investigated the relationship between these cultural styles and couple happiness. This cross-sectional study surveyed the young persons in southern Spain (the ages of 18 and 40). The findings revealed sociocultural and gender disparities in the types of relationships that young adults maintain, as well as the factors that support romantic socialization. The Spaniards viewed their relationships as less stable and more influenced by a variety of factors, whereas the Moroccans described their relationships as more stable and influenced by family and religion.
